Hi Marco,

May I ask what is the minimum account size you recommend to trade the A/S combo?
Are you considering to build an EA out of those 2 methods?

Thank you

Philippe

Hi Phillipe,

It really depends on what markets you want to trade. Actually you could trade just the Canadian Dollar Future for example with both methods. But to really get the most out of this I always suggest to trade multiple markets at the same time. One example for an extensive portfolio can be found at www.tradingeducators.com/combo-performance

If you go with a smaller portfolio you'll need less money of course. The next big question would be what drawdowns you're comfortable with.

So this is a difficult question to answer with a lot of "it depends...". But I'd suggest at least 50k, where you could trade a couple of markets at the same time and get some diversification. But you'd also have some wild swings in your performance equity and run a quite significant risk. At 100k things get more relaxed and at about 150-200k you'll really get the most out of trading the combo.

Happy Trading,

Marco

Thank you Marco for your prompt reply. Do you plan to develop a trading software from those methods?

Both are available as Libraries for Genesis Trade Navigator for an additional $99 per method. And Ambush is also available as a signal service, see algostrats.com/ambush.html

Derivative transactions, including futures, are complex and carry a high degree of risk. They are intended for sophisticated investors and are not suitable for everyone. There are numerous other factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the preparation of hypothetical performance results, and all of which can adversely affect actual trading results.
