The Smart Money!
We believe that selling options is for the "Smart Trader," someone who has the inside track and knows where money is made in the markets. When you realize that regularly about 70% or more of options expire worthless , then you start to see who makes the money in this game. We have taken much of the risk out of options selling so that you, too, can profit from our years of experience. Look at this summary of one day's trading in the options market. See how much money changes hands every day, and how much money is at stake.
As you can see, over 7 billion dollars changed hands on this one day; the buyers of options paid to the sellers over 7 billion dollars in options premium. These statistics are taken from the Matrix™ analysis. On this particular day, which was a Friday, 78% of the options expiring that day were expiring worthless. This means that 78% of the traders who had bought options and were still holding their options on that expiry day, lost their money. What this also tells me is that the money they lost went to the sellers of the options who kept their positions till expiry.We're sure you will agree that the sellers came off best on that particular Friday. The fact is, on most option expiry days you will find similar percentages of options expiring worthless. The figure is sometimes as high as 95%, and very rarely below 70%.
With statistics like that, we would rather be sellers of options than buyers of options, because if we manage our trades properly and take a small loss now and again, then we have a better than 70% chance of making money on a consistent basis. The trick, of course, is to manage the trades to completion, and that is where the Matrix comes into play.

We trade the main markets in the USA, mostly in New York and Chicago. On an average day these markets have thousands of options available for you to choose from. How can anyone be expected to sift through this amount of data every day looking for good options to trade? For you to manually look through and analyze so many options every day is a physical impossibility.
So we have developed a method whereby you can search through this vast amount of data in seconds, and come up with the best options to trade. The OptionsChoice Spreadsheet™ has the power to find any option that you specifically search for among the thousands available every day. We show you how to find the best options to sell, with the least time to expiry and the highest premiums. We even rank the best options depending on their probability of expiring worthless, their time to expiry and the premium received. We show you which search criteria to use (including formulas). Eventually, when you feel comfortable with making your own trading decisions, you can change the search criteria to any values you like.
This is the main page for OptionsChoice. As you can see on the image below it is a four step process: get the data, get the ranking, set the search parameters, and find the options.
The data will cost a monthly fee of $30.
We have set some search parameters in rows 3 and 4, and you may use these, or change them when you become more confident in making your own choices. The data extends from row 10 to more than 16,000, and each row is one option. As you can see, to manually search through 16,000 options every day would be an impossible task.
When the search is done, you will be taken to the sort page where the results will be displayed, and you can make your choice of which options to consider for a trade. (See below)
OPTIONSCHOICE RESULTS
This page contains the results of the search. You can sort the results either ascending or descending on any column that you choose. The volatility ranking column will indicate how volatile the option is and whether it should be considered as a selling opportunity. The last column, Rank, is a number that I assign to each option to let me know how the options compare to each other; the bigger the number, the better the trade. We will explain exactly how we make our choice from this short list, so that we select only the best trades.

MATRIX Model™. Manage your trades to completion.
We all know that there are losses in trading. If anyone tells you that they have a foolproof system that always makes profits, they are lying to you, or perhaps live on another planet. Wouldn't it be great, though, to have a tool that could tell you exactly what to do if a trade gets into trouble, or alert you before the trade gets into trouble as to what action to take? Well, we developed the MATRIX Spreadsheet™ to do just that. We explain exactly how to manage the trades so that you rarely have to take a loss, and we show you how to sometimes sell that loss to someone else! Better still, the MATRIX™ also shows you your profit, and we teach you exactly when to take your profit so that it does not slip away again. Understanding how the MATRIX™ can save your life (money) is explained fully in the course, and it will give you a head and shoulders advantage over "Mr. Average" trader.
This is the main screen for the MATRIX. Any Options and Futures position can be displayed, such as covered Calls, Straddles, Strangles, Condors, Butterflies, Spreads, etc. You can enter up to six options and three futures positions in any quantity you like, and track the profit and loss (P/L) in dollars every day. You can look at any day in the future, at any volatility, and track your P/L. You can exercise your long position, or your short positions can be assigned, and you will see the P/L displayed. This is a wonderful tool for managing your options positions, particularly when things go wrong and you need to do "what if" simulations to find the best way to limit your loss, or better yet, to get out with a profit if possible.

MATRIX MODEL™. Find the best strategies.
You can also use the MATRIX™ to select the correct strategy for the market conditions you find. Let's say that you have determined that the market is very bullish and that volatility is fairly low, and you would like to take an options trade with low risk but unlimited profit. What should you do? Ask the MATRIX, and it will give you all the option strategies that fit into the parameters you have chosen. Not only will it tell you what strategies to use, but it will give you the profit and loss graphs so that you can select the strategy that would suit you best. The MATRIX is a powerful tool — used correctly it can save you hours of analysis, and help you to make good trading decisions.
This Screen guides you in selecting the strategy that is applicable to the market conditions. You determine if the market is bearish, neutral, or bullish, and whether the volatility is low, neutral, or high. You can then select a strategy depending on how much risk you are prepared to take, and what sort of profit you would like to have. Clicking on any of the strategies will take you to the main screen and give you a graph of your Profit and Loss (P/L). You can then enter the specific values for your trade, and manage the P/L through the length of the trade.

- DATA GRAPH TOOL™. What open interest can tell you.
We teach you many of the "Tricks" used by the "Insiders" to fleece money from gullible options buyers, and how they intimidate the public so that they give up on their trades and lose their money. There is no need for you to give up or take a loss if you can see what the professionals are doing. Our spreadsheet analyzes the "open interest" and "volume" for you so that you, too, can trade like a professional. This is not magic, but solid facts that are not generally known by the public, but which you can use to your advantage.

This graph shows you what happens as the option approaches expiry day. We have plotted the Open Interest against the Daily Volume, as well as the premium against the daily closing price of the underlying futures contract. TRADE TRACKER TOOL™. Keep track of all your trades.
Trade Tracker™ is a simple spreadsheet to help you keep track of all your options (and futures) trades, whether paper trades or real trades, so that you can keep a log of your profits or losses as time goes by. You will find this very useful for monitoring your trades and analyzing them so that you can see where you are successful and, hopefully, which trades you should avoid. A good trader always learns from his mistakes, and this is a good way to keep a record of your trades.
This is an invaluable help in keeping track of your trades. You can use it to keep account of your profits and losses for either paper trading or live trading. Every time you add a line of data, the running total will automatically shift down one line. You can enter 100 trades on this sheet, but no blank lines are allowed. Each column has a help comment when you click on the title, to give you guidance as to the input for that column. There is an area where you can change the contract specs or update the contract margins for the individual commodities.
