| joeross | I wasn't sure I'd be here tonight. We may not get a lot of people. |
| joeross | Good evening to you. |
| rjoseph | Hello Joe. First timer here. |
| joeross | Welcome rj |
| joeross | Feel free to make comments or ask questions on anything that is not illegal or immoral :-) |
| joeross | The euro sure is taking a beating. |
| joeross | And the dollar rally has started. I wonder how far it will go???? |
| johnaj1 | Hi Joe, why is euro tanking all of a sudden like the past 30 min? |
| joeross | john: I don't have an answer for that. I suspect it's part of the dollar rally which has been due for over a month. But why in the past 30 minutes, I really don't know |
| joeross | Maybe the Asians are beating up the euro. It's early in the morning over there. The euro is the anti-dollar |
| johnaj1 | There is no new economic news |
| joeross | It's sure not the Aussies. The A$ is not rallying at all. |
| johnaj1 | GBP also |
| joeross | Hi tonya |
| joeross | Hi tipring |
| tonya | hi Joe |
| tipiring | hi |
| rjoseph | How many people attend the seminars when you have them |
| joeross | rj: It depends which country I'm in. |
| joeross | The US is the worst: 15-20 people |
| rjoseph | Being new I was hoping to attend the one in March |
| joeross | Brazil: 150 people |
| johnaj1 | You must have a lot of followers. |
| joeross | Uruguay: 25 people |
| joeross | Czech Republic: 200 people |
| joeross | rj: You should. You will not be sorry and I promise you will learn a lot. What you learn will save you years of struggling. |
| joeross | john: Thousands all over the world. |
| rjoseph | I have about 17 years of struggling under my belt |
| joeross | rj: It's time to stop struggling and find out what you should have learned 17 years ago. |
| rjoseph | I can't wait. |
| johnaj1 | I wish I known you earlier I am certain I will learn a lot as much as you let me |
| joeross | rj: It's only 3 months until the seminar. Hold onto your hat. What you will learn will blow you away. |
| joeross | When people are ready for me, they seem to find me. |
| rjoseph | Do you prefer not to mention names of trading programs on the chat? |
| joeross | I don't mind as long as you are not selling them. We don't want any spamming. |
| tipiring | Joe - Your seminars seem to be for day traders. I don't like day trading. Do you teach other approaches? |
| rjoseph | I think my failures would be bad for their software sales |
| joeross | tipring: We entitle the seminars as "Day Trading" because that is what attracts the most people. But what i teach at them is applicable to any time frame in any market. People are amazed when they realize that the truth is the truth and it works in any market and in any time frame. |
| rjoseph | I started out with Ken Roberts and then went to Traders International. |
| rjoseph | I lost quite a bit |
| joeross | rj: Too bad: :-( mostly a waste of time. |
| joeross | I don't know how to reach everyone with the right stuff, but we sure put out a lot of good stuff for free. |
| joeross | It kinda makes me sad to see so many people being misled by so many phonys out there, but it's the nature of the business. |
| joeross | When it comes to money, many thieves are attracted. |
| rjoseph | If a lot of people were trading a very succesful system, would that hurt the system? |
| johnaj1 | Joe I am planning to attend the the Dallas seminar in Mar. |
| joeross | rj: It could with most systems, but there are some that the more people who trade them the better it is. The Traders Trick Entry is like that. The more the merrier. |
| johnaj1 | I want to make sure I have the right system to work with. |
| joeross | I'll be happy to see you there john |
| johnaj1 | Joe the trader trick entry is that in your book? |
| joeross | john: It is in almost all of my books, usually in one of the appendices. It is also a free download from our website: www.tradingeducators.com/resources |
| joeross | It is also in dozens of our free newsletter Chart Scan. Are you a subscriber? |
| joeross | At the March seminar I'm going to reveal something that answers most of the questions a trader has. |
| johnaj1 | Not yet. The link that you is not working may be I am not a member yet. |
| joeross | Which markets to trade: Where to put the stop loss: How much profit for your objective:: Which time frame to trade: How many contracts to trade--all from one simple tool. |
| joeross | john: You have to register for Chart Scan and double opt-in. Then you receive it every week. The registration is on the right-hand side of our home page. |
| joeross | All you have to do is give your First and Last Names and your email address. You will then receive a letter that asks you to confirm that you really want it. When you confirm, you will begin to receive Chart Scan every week--it's free! |
| johnaj1 | Thanks Joe. |
| joeross | If you give us a phony email address as a lot of wise-guys do, you will never get it, because you will never receive the confirmation letter. |
| johnaj1 | Do you have a few favorite brokerage house that are fast and reasonable to use? |
| rjoseph | Joe in regards to the seminar, do you know if most of the attendees are abe to retain all of the information or is this something we should plan on taking a few times? |
| joeross | john: We have a preferred broker--one we have used for the past 9 years. Please send an email to support@tradingeducators.com and the info will be sent out to you. |
| joeross | rj:: You will be given a complete copy of all of the slides shown at the seminar. Plus afterwards there is follow up through a private forum, email and online support when you need it. We don't give a seminar and then run. We are there for you as long as you need us. If you want to repeat, the cost is nominal. $200 to cover catering and seminar rooms costs. |
| joeross | Nobody gives the support we do. We have students who still come to repeats even after 20 years. |
| joeross | They always learn something new. |
| rjoseph | How often are the seminars given and are they the same? |
| joeross | rj: They are given twice/year. But there is almost always something new. I keep updating the seminar and improving it every time I give it. |
| joeross | I would say that less than 1% seem to need any follow -up. Many write to us and tell us they made money right after taking the seminar. |
| joeross | As the markets change the seminars change. Who ever thought that some day we would be teaching forex??? |
| joeross | In Germany, we now teach trading CFDs--which few in the US have ever heard of. |
| rjoseph | How about the psychological aspect? I hear this is where most fail. Are some traders just destined to fail or do you think this can be overcomed?? |
| joeross | I don't believe anyone is destined to fail. Discipline and self-control can be learned. Think of the Marines, the Seabees, the Green Berets, etc. |
| joeross | rj: People have hangups. Some date all the way back to the time they were in the womb. But anyone can decide that today is the first day of the rest of their life and become successful. |
| joeross | rj: Have you read Trading is a Business? |
| joeross | That book deals with the psychological aspects of trading. People tell me it is a life-changing book. |
| rjoseph | No I have not. Is this a book that you wrote? |
| joeross | Yes it is a book I wrote. |
| rjoseph | I discovered your website last week and at this time I am taking advantage of all the free materials you offer. Any extra money is going for the seminar fund. |
| joeross | rj: No one had more hangups than I did when I began trading. I had to overcome a lot. I know it can be done. |
| joeross | There is a lot for free, rj. We give away a lot. We care what happens to traders. |
| rjoseph | That is encouraging. I am somewhat concerned about the whole 90 fail 10 succeed rule if that is even accurate |
| johnaj1 | Euro has another leg down |
| joeross | rj: It is probably worse than that in some areas of trading. For example the figures for forex traders are 97% lose and only 3% win. On the other hand, we know from surveying our students who are spread traders that 82% of them are making money or are no worse than breakeven. This is them telling us that this it is so. |
| joeross | john: I see euro at 1.4420 |
| joeross | Now even lower |
| joeross | tonya: what's on your mind tonight? |
| tonya | just trying to figure out this economic situation. What the best investments are right now. |
| tonya | trying to glean some insite from listening to you as always :) |
| joeross | tonya: That's a tough one. The markets are at a strange point and it really is hard to know what to do. |
| joeross | I wouldn't dare buy any stocks other than metals and that may be a buy and hold situation. There could be a serious correction in the metals. |
| tonya | I bit on the inflation investing. I've been accumulating metals and grains (corn and soybeans) |
| tonya | ya i'm averaged in a lot lower on metals. I bought a ton of puts on my metals when we broke 1100 |
| joeross | I'm in agreement with you tonya. But we may have to ride out a storm in the metals. |
| tonya | planning on holding a long itme |
| joeross | Me too |
| joeross | Metals are my safety valve. |
| joeross | My just-in-case insurance. |
| tonya | do you have any opinion on the corn market? When we were at 3.50 i thought we were undervalued so i bought in and sold a bunch of calls, they expired and i collected .50 premium and i still have the contracts. |
| joeross | tonya: Yes, do it again. |
| joeross | Well, it's my bed time. |
| joeross | Nice chatting to you all. |
| rjoseph | Thank you Joe |
| joeross | I'll be here next week, but then not again until January |
| tonya | thanks Joe |
| joeross | Good night everyone. |
| tonya | night |
| joeross left. |
