Chat Member Guidelines & Code of Conduct

Please Read

Introduction

Before you start posting and participating, you MUST READ our rules and member guidelines!

Trading Educators presents this Live Chat with Joe Ross for purposes of providing positive, uplifting educational discussions for traders who want to participate. Our live chats are resources which promote mature, intelligent, & respectful discussion in a positive & safe environment for everyone. They are an educational resource to help traders become better traders. This is a venue in which traders are "invited" to meet fellow traders from around the globe in order to ask questions, to discuss trading ideas, and to share and build trading techniques and strategies.

Our live chat rooms have certain standards and ethics, and in order to ensure these are maintained, we have a code of conduct as set out below. When members join our live chats, they agree to abide by the code, and repeated violations may result in a member's being banned from the chats, barred from entry or from participating in any manner in the chat rooms.

Registration

No one is allowed to register with more than 1 username. Those who use more than 1 username identity are in violation of our Chat Room rules, and will be permanently banned from all rooms.

Participation

Since only 50 Members at a time can participate during a chat session, we ask that those who are among the "lucky" 50 actively participate in the chat to get the most out of it. It is not fair to passively use the space while others would have liked to join to ask questions.

Therefore we encourage you to be prepared to join the chat with questions and comments related to trading, markets, and the economy. Obviously, this is balanced by each participant being courteous enough to avoid monopolizing the conversation.

Authenticity

Please don't pretend to be an expert if you aren't one. Humility is better than arrogance. It is fine to not know something or to be a beginner. That’s what the chat is for. Beginners masquerading as experts, or who repeatedly give advice to others, hurt the chat as newly learning traders may not yet be able to tell who is actually an expert, and who merely thinks he is one. Just be real.

No Slander

Please do not start a topic which libels, slanders, or defames anyone. This is not a platform for gossip.

Advertising

Trading Educators does not allow advertising from vendors, whether or not it is related to trading. Vendors from other trading websites are not allowed to start discussions for the purpose of drawing attention to their product or service. Any vendor so doing will be excluded from any future discussions.

Your contributions

As an interactive computer service, we are provided immunity by Congress in Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996 from being held responsible for material published to our site by anonymous users. As a registered member and anonymous user of this site & chat rooms, you will be held solely responsible for the content of any comments that you make. If you post libelous, defamatory, slanderous, or untruthful remarks about a person or company, you are putting yourself in legal jeopardy. By posting information in, or otherwise using any communications service, chat room, message board, newsgroup, software library, or other interactive service that may be available to you on or through www.tradingeducators.com, you agree that you will not post, or otherwise distribute or facilitate distribution of any content — including text, communications, software, images, sounds, data, or other information — of the types of negative information listed above.

Violation of these Rules

Any breach of the above rules will result in the member's being suspended for 1 month, although depending on the circumstances and at the moderators' discretion, any action may be preceded by a warning. Any further violation within 6 months will result in a permanent ban from all our chat rooms. In exceptional circumstances, and at the discretion of the chat moderators, members may be immediately and permanently banned. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, sexual harassment, personal abuse towards another member, bad-mouthing anyone, racist comments, or blatant advertising (Spam) from vendors from other websites.
